 We were in the Kruger National Park RSA, for 6 days 21-27 April. It was the first time we went right up north, camped at Punda Maria. The wildlife is scarce there but we had wonderful sightings, like a pride of 16 lion, hyena's & cubs next to the road, Eagle with prey *2 etc. The elephants in this picture we saw between Punda Maria and Shingwedzi camps. My wife is very afraid of elephants so that I cannot ever be closer than 70-100 meters from them if she's in the car. That's why I got this nice image, as the use of a 70-200 lens + 1.4 teleconverter tunnels the image nicely. The 2 bushgiants just ambled along the road, and started browsing again after abut 5 minutes, disappearing into the bush without a sound. We did have a much more "interesting" experience the day before, with my wife not in the car. Mock charge et al. I was the driver, so could not take pictures.

If anybody ever doubted the usefulness of titles/captions, they just have to look at this one :-) That has GOT to be worth half a point on your score at least. Well done!

Incredible. I'm laughing because I traveled with my family to Kenya when I was a kid, and we were the folks in that car!!! There was just the one bull charging towards us, but it was quite impressive.
