 I don't consider myself a "animal activist" by any stretch -- I don't protest the circus, and I like to eat hamburgers. :) However, elephants always look sad to me.

This is one of the one at the Knoxville Zoo in Tennessee. In reality, this creature wouldn't last 2 days in the wild -- many of their animals are rehabilitative. At this point, the elephants had ventured into their "barn" for some reason. One of them was had a foot being checked out or something and I shot this through the glass.

PP included a levels adjustment, lots of clarify, some blurring of the background and adding a slight vignette.

Sorry but the pose looks like a smile. I know it's an animal in captivity but the photo doesn't say look at me I'm sad. But who doesn't like a photo of an elephant. Good luck.
