 I cannot believe how hard it is to shoot these dragonflies in flight. I have cheated a little here. I could see some blue in the water (background) but it was mostly brown. I thought I could bring out the blue through PP but it looked crap. I then tried mucking around with the raw as a last ditch effort and found when setting the white balance to tungsten gave me more blue than that what was really there.

I like the shot mainly due to the effort taken to capture it so I don’t expect that to play much on the thoughts of the voters. I really wanted to capture one of these facing towards me but after more than an hour trying it wasn’t going to happen for me that day. I don’t expect to get hit with DNMCs but I’m not anticipating more than low 5’s for this. It was fun getting the shot though.

This feels really really really overly sharpened in post. It's hard to actually focus and see any sort of detail of the dragonfly.
