 This was a discovery in the junipers of Sand Gulch. I thought the knot in this one looked like a bird's head - complete with eye and beak. I was looking for texture and form (and didn't really want to compete with those of you lighting experts who are going to make something truly wonderful with images of vegetables)

Awesome. I'd like it even more if the darks were darker or at least more dark. I don't know why. I think for more Westoniness there needs to be more balance. Probably just me.
