Wow, what a difference the U point technology makes. This is my first challenge submission since we got Silver Efex Pro, and I must have used a dozen or so localized control points in this, to increase detail and/or alter brightness in the areas I wanted. Cloned out a small strip of plastic in the foreground.

Currently at about 5.6. I had hopes for something better than that as my local Weston expert (Bear) said it was very much in Weston's style. But I learned so much experimenting with a variety of images for this challenge (a wrinkled apple, and cabbage leaves being two of the topics), that it really doesn't matter.

Thanks for the kind comments from those of you agreed with Bear!

He he he. 29th place. Oh well, you were my only 10. The ribbon winners were ones I though, "Oh very nice but nothing like Weston" . At least the voters are consistent, over in the other challenge few of the front page are more than a few parts, very little disassembly, why should Weston be different?

This doesn't seem a lot like any Weston shot I can think of, but I wouldn't be surprised to find one like this. I think you succeeded.

The chain sawed off end is just not fitting. A re-composure is needed to bring out the life in the subject.
