nice conversion to b/w and good subject - but the crop seems wrong (square wasn't Weston's thing) and the shallow DOF does match his style

Beautifully luminous. Tomatoes hold up so nicely in black and white.

The tomatoes don't seem to be in focus and there's too much depth apparent overall. Form isn't the star and to me isn't even very interesting in this shot. I think this is an interesting shot, but it doesn't resonate Weston to me.

Need more DOF. Weston never used an open aperture on his close up shots.

I know tomatoes always seem to look out of focus is photographs due to their strange skin texture, but I think yours is actually OOF since the leaves aren't as sharp as the stem. Weston usually used small apertures and long exposures to get a deep depth of field. The texture in the stem is great though.
