Not really old, could have disassembled the object more or did a macro on one piece of the drive. The texture on the platters is nice addition to this otherwise boring photo

While this is a really good photo I don't think it meets the challenge. You've only showed us one part of a computer, not all it's pieces. You didn't even take the hard drive apart. Of course this is only my opinion and others may disagree and you could be scoring really well!

I must say, I'm quite curious about how this background was achieved. I see the HD is floating on something. I'd like to say that it's a LCD screen, but I'm not sure if you're gelling your light source or not. I expected a lot of HD's in this challenge. I feel that this could be disassembled further, it feels the same as taking the lid off a piece of tupperware.
