I love how there is no focal point, it is "lost" as you say. that makes for an endless viewing experience. |

I love this shot. I like how the shell is being assimilated by the wood. The shot doesn't seem Westony to me though. I don't think Weston would have made this shot. I don't think there's enough balance between the darks and lights. This is a great shot for texture, but I think Weston is far more concerned with form and the abstraction thereof in part through flattening depth. I think it misses the mark. |

The lines on the tree and shell are competing, maybe bumping up the contrast would give it more impact. |
