Duck at a local pond. Tried to get some swimming images but they stayed too far away. Got 5-6 images when the walked up on the land. 200mm zoom

The desat was really needed as the brown grass and brown feathers merged.

Convert from Raw in Raw Therapee
- Exposure
- Shadows/Highlights
- White balance
- Color boost

PP in Gimp
- Big crop
- Desat the BG to isolate teh duck
- Clone/heal around the feet
- Dodge the eye
- USM
- Border

I really like the details you captured, but am not a fan of the selective desaturation here. It takes a beautiful natural scene and gives it a fake feel.

Not a fan of selective desaturation usually, but the duck is so cute with great focus and clarity that I will overlook it.
