When I took this photo, I did it with no particular purpose. I just wanted a self portrait with my hand on my face.
Now, looking at the picture (and especially at the wedding ring in sight), I realize that it can have many different meanings: 1) "I'm a married man, even if sometimes I forget it" (I'm just referring to the picture; actually, I never forget it); 2) "If you are a married man, you can look at the other women with one eye only" (and this too is false to me: I use them both!); 3) everybody hurts sometimes (even the happily married men); 4) "Wendy... I'm home!" :-)))).
I used my Nikon D700 mounted on a tripod, a 50 mm f/1.8 lens, a remote control, and an SB-900 speedlight; I directed the flash to the floor, so the light came from below. While turning the photo to B&W, I just cropped it and heightened the contrast.
