| I don't think it's a boring shot. It's a really nice composition. However, the noise does work against it. It makes the insect look pixelated. This would be fantastic as a really crisp b/w. :-) |

| Very pretty composition. But what I really love is the grain of the shot. I think that's what really makes this special. Very nice. |

| Dynamic composition, nice feature with insect - image is quite noisy and indistinct where you need it most (on the fly). |

| This has all the promise of being a great shot, shame its in B&W. Would have been a vivid pic in full colour. |

| great texture. the choice of black and white only helps to bring out the texture even more. the lighting is also very impressive. nice job. |

| Nicely composed image. Desaturating it hurts the overall effect I think. Lighting feels a little flat. |

| I assume the grain is ment to be there. Not sure if it works or not. Somewhat distracting to me. Great subject & cropping though. |
