| There is a nice color separation there. It would have been really great if the background could have been blurred more to really make the bird stand out. |

| Great shot of a great blue heron, but the scene and composition do little to focus the viewer. Quite a bit of the scene is cluttered by other elements and compete for my attention. The light colored rocks, the road in the back, the branches in the foreground, trees in the back.. they all vie for attention. A decreased depth of field would have done MUCH to help this. |

| Nice capture and focus, but the picture seems to lack something. Maybe the bird does not stand out enough or is overpowered by the greens . . . 6 |

| I really like the bird, the colors. but a much tighter crop works better for me any way |
