I was going back through the Tarot entries, and I cannot believe how harsh voters were on this image. I really liked it and scored it much higher. I think the crop is good -- it conveys the feeling of closeness in a subway car. His focus on the book and the motion in the window. Nice shot. |

How does a street photographer do something that fits this topic? Well seen. My only quibble might be the slight lopping off of the top of his head. |

This image I have returned to many times and it is the last I will vote on. I've had a hard time seeing this as the Hermit. But it has finally stuck me that even though this bus could be bustling with people he is engaged in his book, not interacting with others and so makes him a hermit in this situation.
Normally I don't mind if tips of fingers or ears are cropped off but I really think he needs the top of his head in this image. Other than that it is a nice black and white image. |
