 Initially, I guess it was the novelty of an older Hispanic male, dressed up in a Statue of Liberty costume, flagging down traffic while promoting a tax preparation service, that made me toss my camera to the car window and grab a blurred drive-by snap.
I wish now I had stopped to ask him if I could take some "real" photos. He looked like an out-of-work field laborer swallowing his pride to provide for his family. Field jobs are hard to find this time of year. Standing on a street corner in a green dress certainly must be a different sort of American dream.
When I went to town this week he was gone, so I'll probably never know his real story.

He just had those vibes...
