Rowers I saw at the distance. The blurred boarder edges come from the bridge in the distance and the bridge barrier in the near side.

Editing steps:
Bit of topaz adjust. Silver efex pro (changed colour levels to make the rowers stand out more from the water).

The border's a little unbalanced due to the nature of the natural framing of the bridge. The top one is the problem. The reflection drags down nearly to the rowers' heads, so without a lot of tinkering the photo looks unbalanced. And if I crop the bottom as much as the top it is too wide for my tastes.
It also looks sorta unbalanced too cause the right oars are in the water while the left ones aren't in as far.

I'm happy enough with it anyway. Not a 'classic' negative space, I think, but hopefully it won't be punished for it either though. Had to add in the grey line to divide the natural 'graduated' framing with the added border.

Much thanks to Bear_Music on this one--I didn't have the horozontal lines between the natural graduated border and the inserted border, which would have given the illusion of expanding the image area. Could have lead to a DQ. Thanks!

I really like the contrast and subject of this one. I think a bit more space to the left might be interesting.

Nice job on the B&W. I like the centered composition.
