 Taken at the J Heinz Wildlife Refuge. The lake has shed it's layer of ice and the ducks have returned. This is a male Northern Shoveler. There are hundreds of waterfowl in the area now. Surely Spring must be near!

Cool ducks. Difficult to shoot on the ground since they are often shovelling with their beaks and heads underwater ;-)

Really handsome yes! I would prefer however if the bird was over to the left of the frame flying into it and drawing you into the frame.
