 Taken at the Liverpool Cruise Liner terminal. HMS liverpool is due to be scrapped next year so this was her final home visit.
HMS Liverpool type 42 Destroyer was launched in 1980 entered service in 1982, she is the last of the batch 2 42 destroyers in service with the Royal Navy.
The Falklands war saw the Royal Navy type 42 destroyers pitched against 2 type 42 Destroyers of the Argentine Navy which had earlier been sold to Argentina.
