Now we run it through On One Software's FREE "Photo Tools 2.5", a great little utility. With this I warm the image up and add "HDR" effects with a brush on the bird's body and some of the moss. This is a great feature of this program, the ability to "brush in" HDR and fade it in and out. I also did some local burning on branches and in the upper right mostly, and some in the corners.
Notice the eye and the beak are beginning to express themselves.
