Date Uploaded: Feb 15, 2011

This is a film editing synchronizer. This item is rarely, if ever, used any more in the digital age. The title relates to the sprocket teeth used to position the film. I did leave clues in the shot like the "Hollywood" text on the frame and the clip of mag film in background.

RAW edit: Crop, brightness, sat, color temp, clarity, sharpen, dodge and burn, resize...all in Lightroom. Export to Photoshop for smart sharpen and save for web.

I wonder if this would have done better if people knew what it was? Then it would have a sense of scale.

73rd?????? Are you kidding me? I gave you a 10 and expected you to win. Your picture sticks in my head, it is so great. I came in 110...so a picture of a make-up brush beat ours? It is amazing to me sometimes the pictures that do well.

Wow – very interesting! With the Hollwood in the caste and the film in the background I’m thinking this maybe an old film editing machine of some sort.

Equipment for winding film, or if not film then whatever that strip is at the top of the photo that has perforations along each side. I'd love to know what the numbers represent.

Is this a film projector? It doesn't really look like a macro to me.

Interesting shot of an interesting subject. Would have preferred something less saturated but it works with the title.
