Hello Johanna from the Critique Club
This is a very good image. Focus is excellent.
(I was thinking of doing something like this myself but couldnt get anyone to sit for me.)
Your model has a very lovely eye
Although the light reflection in her eye is a bit over powering and stands out quite a bit
Personally I can't see a lot wrong with your image except In my opinion you could have focused on the eye alone and left the brow out it has good enough focus for that. A really nice Macro
I think maybe the title is a little strange for a CD Album cover and the font used is not the greatest and that is what let you down
There were a lot of very good images in this challenge
Your score was very good and nothing to be ashamed of I think you met the challenge very nicely

| I know the text and border are purple because of the band name, but I think the contrast might be more effective if they were much darker -- maybe even black. Great photo, though. |

| Beautiful image though shame about the light reflections showing so much of the studio set up - would diffused light sources help? Love richness of colour and DOF choice which throws eyebrow out of focus. 9 |

| This doesn't have the feel of a band name to me. The Deep Purple thing isn't too imaginative. Nor does the photo look like authentic cover art. The photo is technically good. I'm pretty tired of seeing eye macros on DPC. |

| Except that it's the iris that's purple. The corneas are the white part of the eye :-). But beautiful macro shot though. Details are clear and dof is good. |

| Very nice shot. I think I would have desaturated the skin to make it less yellow. B&W would make the purple eye stand out more too. At the moment it looks like the WB wasn't set properly, but still a good shot. |
