 After an ice storm, I found this rather Dali-esque scene in my garden. Looked just like an eye getting poked and tearing in response. Quirky start for the new year ;-)

PP - flipped upright, cropped, white balance, increased saturation and contrast, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, added border.

Surreal indeed! I think there's a similar composition on the cover of a book I have on Surrealism. Striking "eye."

This was one of my favorites from the challenge. It's just... bizarre. I love the ring of light in the ice, the strange prismatic effect that's going on, the small petal/stick on the aged flower, the branch... pretty much everything. Just a very cool shot. The icicle trailing down, mirroring the stalk, is nice.
