I took this shot 7 minutes after the challenge was announced. I was at one of my photographic haunting grounds with various elements of interest just waiting for the challenge announcement. This is effectively what I had imagined when taking the shot but I'm not happy with the PP. I wanted the focus on the far wheel but looking at it now I think this may be a mistake. I would love to go back and redo this shot with my tripod and a smaller aperture but I won't have the time.

I wouldn't be surprised if some consider this DNMC as someone has already said to me that gears are not wheels. To me they are.

I personally like the composition, lighting and subject and would like to see this finish in the 6's but realistically I feel this is a 5.3xxx shot.

Darn good placement for something you were not satisfied with! I didn't vote 100% and it didn't come up for me, but I would figure this would have gotten a 6 or 7 from me. I love strong perspectives.

You've used perspective very effectively to dictate size and importance here, leaving an image that has multiple levels consisting of the same object, but which have a very different feel to each of them.

Nice job, sort of wish that the far gear fell right in between the frame created by the foreground gears.....

This is great. Very well spotted. Like a stairwell. Layers and layers. Great tones. Great photo.

this is really nice, I may have cropped the very top portion to focus more on the interest in the lower 2/3rd, still a nice entry
