Interesting old piece of equipment. IMO, the strong lighting in the background draws attention to the duller lighting on the base of the kiln that then fades to shade at the top. With such a large object, not sure there would be a whole bunch you could do about that, though. The rust patina, apparent lean, and slight tilt all support the shot very nicely.

It just seems so bizarrely out of place. Of course I don't even know exactly where this should be so maybe this is the natural environment. -- OK, looked it up -- great subject!

I really like the lines in this. Great composition and excellent exposure management. Pleasing foreground and nice depth. Very well done.
