I have a bunch of favorited photo's in my gallery that I have been wanting to emulate... You know imitation is the highest form of flattery!! ;)

Anyway my goal is to score higher than the image I was inspired by.

Not sure why the "inspirational shot" scored so much better than this one. I much prefer the warmth in your shot. The other seems to have an overall cold blue tinge. The other one is a bit crisper and has a nicer sky -- the little cloud in your shot is a bit of a distraction. But I really like the texture and detail in yours. I also think the voters in 2002 were kinder than they are now. Interesting that that photographer only entered two challenges and hasn't participated in any way since 2002.
