Ladies fashion boutique window display. I shot this for the lamp challenge but needed advanced editing to clean it up. For me, it has a "Twilight Zone" feeling. I've been trying to come up with a title for this image and finally settled on "Like Humans Do". An attempt at giving life to the manikin. David Byrne has a song with this name but his story is different.

I'm pretty disappointed with my score but got some great comments and a posthumous!

I think stunning is the word. It takes awhile to take it all in. And it gets better the longer I look.

All dressed up and... you know the rest.

The wintery suburban backdrop adds to the effect.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: I really like the deliberate superimposition of the elements here - the window frame and the reflection overlying the subjects. I like your framing / crop too - unexpected but effective. It all makes me wonder about the real relationship between the structures you show.

Critical stuff: Not much really - I think you have certainly got the most out of this scene,

Overall: A really interesting shot.

A giant faux-moon, a humanoid perfectly intersected by an urban skyline, a tortured tree and a massive, crushing crucifix. And on top of all that a marvelous title to tease all the parts into a coherent plait. I could easily be reading far more into this than you may have intended, but I suspect not. I just love it. Top three for me. Thank you.
