Monday morning blues, sometimes you need a bit of a nip to start your day... also known as 'Irishing' your coffee. tea, hot chocolate, water, etc. Play on words, the Bit of the Nip is the Nip that pulls our pieces together in the morning.
Took the original RAW formate, adjusted slightly for clarity. Converted to B&W. Increased sharpness, auto contrast. Cropped, adjusted mid-tones. Auto contrast. Added 2 pixels for white border, increased 20 pixels for black border.
Something I love about this shot is the hands. I feel that hands tell amazing stories. I thought the mug just added a little bit of irony to the whole concept. That flask has been in my family for a few generations now, oh the stories it could tell. |

Full of irony and caustic wit. To think I almost dismissed it. |

That's a different kind of "bit" then the "bits" that the challenge asks for. "Bits and pieces" Although I guess you could say that when he has a few bits of nips too many he will go to pieces. he he he :)

LOL! I'll view this as the glass is half-full. :)
Came back to bump up for the sacrilege/genius factor. |

Very nicely shot and edited, not sure it fits the challenge well though. Loose interpretation IMHO. |
