I knew that probably most people wouldn't like the negative space on this (my family didn't either) -- but for some reason it really called to me. Otherwise it's just a picture of trees with snow. I felt this gave more of a feeling of just how white the world was at that time. I thought about trying to bring out some definition in the snow below, but I wanted that extra contrasty/high key type of shot, so I didn't even try it. It does make me curious, though. :)

As always -- thanks for the comments! When I'm responding to comments in this section, please understand it's not a negative response to the comments, it's more just to explain my reasons for my editing decisions -- just in case anyone is interested. :)

I would've cropped out of a lot of the snow at the bottom, but if you're set on keeping it I would've underexposed it a bit to bring out the texture.

Well at least someone had a white Christmas! We had nothing but rain and fog. A beautiful photo.

I love this image! I would like to see some of the white bottom gone (a different crop). I personally think that all that at the bottom takes away from the gorgeous shot of the trees. (7)
