my son has finally really started to enjoy last years christmas present...

i wish i had managed to get better focus on the hand :( he moves so darn quick though, and i was working in quite dim light so i had the aperture all the way down... oh well, live and learn!

This is pretty good - great idea and just a few tweaks would make it great. The forearm doesn't really add to the image; the hand and the toy is really what this image is about. By either moving in closer, or cropping the top fourth of the image, you would get a better, more balanced composition.

A little fill flash would have brightened the colors and let you close down the aperture a bit more, or just aided you in stopping the action.

This is nice, my daughter loves that kind of toys too, she has a similar one and is one of her faves ;)

I'm not sure what part of this is in focus. I like the natural light and appreciate that you didn't over-saturate the colors, thought they are faded to the point of looking almost vintage. Nice comp!

The toy and hand should be in focus for the shot to have impact, the lighting is suffering also.
