Challenge: Outside Looking In II (Basic Editing)
Collection: Challenge Entries
Camera: Olympus E-520
Date: Dec 17, 2010

More experimental photography here. I used a razor blade to make multiple tiny slits in a piece of tinfoil, taped it over the lens housing, and pointed it at the Christmas tree.

ETA (10/24/11): Looking back, I might have titled it "jungle" or "circus"; the challenge title was to appease commenters concerned more with the challenge theme and less with the photograph. I used to care about such things.

All the vitality of a tropical jungle. Thanks for sharing the method.

fascinating how you accomplished this. I admire this "repurposing" of photography.

I like this! More so since you entered it in a challenge. This really pushes me outside of the box. A mat and frame are in order here.

Very clever use of tin foil. Looks like a bird chaos from the 70s :) Love the colors.

I am always so impressed by folks who create their own lenses. This is incredible.

Truly bizarre, and makes more sense after reading the details. A unique and fresh interpretation of a Christmas tree. Nice work Brian, glad I looked a second time.

eta: matches well with my title from Inside Out, "hallucinogenic babble"

Great idea. I tried my first pinhole with tin foil but I think this is more interesting.

Tough one to score. Interesting colors and patterns. Can we determine if it meets the category of "outside looking in"? There does appear to be blue reflections that seem to be outside of a window so I guess, yes.
