This doesnít really fit my interpretation of a Ďportraití for many reasons so if the majority decide to treat this as DNMC I wonít be disappointed with a low score. I did struggle with how I was going to shoot for this challenge especially as I didnít have a model available so I was not going to enter. However, I wanted to finish the year entering as many challenges as possible as I may not be playing much next year so I attempted a self portrait.

Iím not trying to be too deep and meaningful with the title but relatively accurate. I have recently used this same river (but not the exact same location) that was also a shot of me from behind in the same clothes.

Iím expecting this to finish around 4.9xx and with little or no comments. I apologise now for the below average and boring shot but it was something that I enjoyed setting up and was happy with the results so youíll just have to put up with it :-)

Thanks everyone for your comments, especially ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_N.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_N.gif', '/') + 1) . ' tanguera for reminding me that it was ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' Coley where I had seen this type of image before. I did a quick search in DPC without success. I wanted to credit the idea to the original photographer but couldn't even remember if it was in DPC that I had seen it. So thanks Coley but more importantly, sorry for such a poor reproduction of your excellent work.

Oh, and ' . substr('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_N.gif', strrpos('//www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_N.gif', '/') + 1) . ' tanguera, it is nice to be wrong when the results are higher than predicted.

I like the idea and title, there is maybe a bit to much sepia effect for my taste, all in all a very nice shot.

Pastoral and surreal. Very cool image; a Coley tribute with the folded umbrella.
