For the past two or three years, we've have done a gingerbread house. I buy a kit (one day, I "might" do it from scratch, but for now, a kit will have to do).

The first time or two, I assembled, iced, and the kids helped decorate. Last year, I iced and the kids got to do one side a piece.

This year, they iced (with just a little help from me), and decorated individual houses.

This is my 5 year old's chubby hand. It's one of those shots that has meaning only for me, but meaning it has, so here it is.

What a great idea for a gingerbread shot. I just love his pudgy little hand. It adds so much intrest and emotion to the shot. And you photographed it beutifully.

In this case, the hand not only adds emotional impact, it adds scale along with the impishness that is necessary in fairytale land.

Good one.

That's so sweet! 5 is such a great age too. I'm sure you'll treasure this image.

I think it has meaning for anyone who ever had a child and since mine has long since outgrown this stage, it has more meaning for me than you may think. Great shot.

I think it's an excellent photo, looks like it belongs in a magazine actually. The decorating is a little messy (actually pretty good for a 5 year old!) but we can see a child's hand and that makes it extra special.

The hand adds emotion to that wonderful build house. Looks yummy!
