 Across the Universe, written by John Lennon

As soon as I read this line I thought of Bokeh.
Our Christmas tree played the backdrop, and then I experimented with a variety of objects in front of it: flowers, pinecones, leaves, candles etc.
Ultimately the candle just looked the most natural by far, it just looked kind of weird to have nature things before clearly artificial lighting.
I had some shots of a smoking candle that were pretty cool and was supposed to symbolize "broken light". But ultimately the simple candle was just the most pleasing.

Expecting a midpack finish. 5.5?

nice idea...nice bokeh...i am sort of curious how close those lights in the background were. i wish it didn't have such a yellow cast and the background wasn't so grainy. the top of the candle feels uncomfortably high in the frame. -6
