This was taken on a recent climb I completed. It consisted of six peaks on the same plateau, and was a relatively long day. Lots of vertical gain and what not. Great climbs, and the weather held out well enough. It was around 24 degrees most of the day, with winds between 30-60mph, but the snow mostly held off.
On the last peak of the day, I decided to wait and watch the sun set. This view is to the East, towards the Great Plains, and where I live. The light was very interesting, and the peak in front of me was obstructed due to other peaks to the west and clouds while the plains were illuminated.
Some other shots of the same area-

Beautiful photo. Excellent use of the peak in the foregrouns to break up the distant horizon. Nice tones and colors, some obvious work done to display a greater range of exposure, but very well processed to not be overdone. Just right. Excellent shot.
