Challenge: Blue (Classic Editing)
Camera: Canon PowerShot G2
Location: Union Station, Los Angeles
Date: Nov 29, 2002
Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 50
Shutter: 60
Date Uploaded: Dec 1, 2002

Photograph was taken with a 'tungsten' balance that is built into my camera.
I remember the light to be somewhat low, except for the natural light pouring in through those windows. When I changed from a 'day light' balance to a 'tungsten' balance the scene lit up on my LCD screen.

COMPOSITION -CONTENT - I would have tried to have given more emphasis to the beautiful floor in this image and definitely not included that thing at the back that appears to have two headlights! I think a different angle might have helped to rid you of some of the distractions such as the blown out windows.
CAMERA WORK -TECHNICAL - Exposure is not bad considering the difficult lighting
DIGITAL PROCESSING - TECHNICAL - Would have benefitted from some playing with the levels and usm as the image is a bit soft
YOUR OPINION ON THE PHOTO - I wished that I could visit this beautiful place!

Good photograph with the potential to be a great one. Biggest thing I don't like is the window on the right is blown out. This would be better I think if the pic was taken at a different time of the day for lighting reasons. Also I might try to change the angle so that this gorgeous walkway was still fully visable and the grey things on the right were more in view. With them on one side only, it looks a little unbalanced. as is it is a really nice shot. Good job - Inspzil

I have a few shots from there -- great building to photograph!

Good subject well rendered. Perhaps a little more fantasy in the composition could still improve it.

Not realling exciting but wonderful depth to this shot. And all so clear. Great job. Is it blue like this naturally or did you colorize it? Nice job. PTL 8

the blue tint doesn't look right for some reason. most of the picture is the floor and that part is not interesting with the blue tint all over it. maybe needs white balance to make it look right.

Look at the shine on that floor! Wow...marble? I would love to visit there sometime.
Pretty. Love the perspective you used. It's a well done shot. Justine
