 We went to a raptor release, where they release rehabilitated raptors to the wild. This is a Cooper's hawk. I didn't catch why he was being rehabbed, but as you can see he was flying just fine. He was released straight up and wanted to change direction as quickly as possible, see how his tail is spread and vertical!

Really nice shot. I've never had much luck with birds in flight. I really like this one.
