Location: Chateau Snaffles

Galleries: Humorous, Interior
Date Uploaded: Nov 25, 2010

My two plastic spring horses, Scout the chestnut on the right, and Liberty the grey on the left. I found both horses probably about 2 years apart, at the ends of various neighbours' driveways, within 200 m of where I live.

Shot handheld, with a string of blue LED Xmas lights stuffed into the cavities of both horses. The lighblurs are some of these LEDs connecting the two.

Did a slow rotation of the camera during shooting to achieve a blurry/surreal effect so beloved by posthumous :-)

pp: RAW-TIFF conversion, brightness/contrast, resize, sharpen, fade sharpen, save for web

The idea behind the Posthumous Ribbon is to encourage you to break the rules, to find new and different ways to express yourself. To free your mind to think clearly toward the solution that is certain to come, to laugh at world and at life, not doing what others are expecting you to do, but just following and listening to what's in your heart. DPC it’s a wonderful learning place where everyone should be supported on their way to be a photographer. A special attention should be aimed to those working hard with different views and approaches to photography, those not aligned with the mainstream taste and receiving no recognition. It’s our responsibility to support these photographers creating diversity and expressing different visions. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to do it. Being active at the Posthumous thread it’s the best way to protect your and the other’s freedom of being different. Thanks for taking the time to enter this challenge. Stay wild.

What I see is a horse rearing up and smashing someone to the ground. I can only hope that the horse's victim is one of DPC's imaginatively dull 'DNMC' police. It's an admirably mad photograph. Thank you.

It looks like arrows pointing to the action.

I keep looking at this trying to figure out what the heck I'm looking at. Anything that makes me stop and look longer deserves pointage for that.

Startling. Outlandish. I think I like it.

This is a little too obscure for me. It looks nice in a way but I just can't make anything out of it. I may not need to, but there need to be an underlying reason for me to see the reason for chaos. 5
