And yet... by characterizing her as "lonely" are you not "imagining" what is in her mind? Perhaps she is annoyed at her friend, who went inside for more pastries 5 minutes ago and is taking her own good time?

Nice expressiveness! If the furniture didn't appear to be made of plastic in the full-size version, I could believe this was an antique image. How would it look in sepia?
This was one of my top picks. Maybe because it reminds me of my grandmother but also because it's such a well told story. People might nitpick about the contrast and the chairs... but they probably won't notice the detail about her feet being out of her shoes. Amazing photo for me, should be in the top 3.
