 A bit of a 'twist' on the balance theme here... I felt like the 'halo' at the top of this fountain feels like it is balancing on the twisted water column...

I shot this photo in manual mode with my 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. I also underexposed it by at least 4 stops to darken out the background. I cloned out a few light spots in the background to make the image more even...

A beautiful water study. Composition is delightfully simple, lighting is spot on, and as a result, this one ends up in my favourites.

Great use of lighting on this shot.
Interesting theme & good composition. I'll be looking for a "How'd they do that" post...

Lovely Image. The composition is ideal. The border works well too. This echos a chemical molecule or "double helix" diagram. The lighting and colour work really well too.

I love the shot. The contrast is great. Focus beautiful. Not sure where the balance is though.
