 The beach is flour, the blue water is from a piece of newspaper, and the distant waves are highlights from a plastic tray.

For those wondering about the "OOF rust colored blob", I'm thinking I could have left that out. It is a very small piece of something like coral that washed up from the sea. I was trying to use it to get a feeling of desolation/emptiness and perspective in the scene.
