 A ghost from the days before the big motel chains ruled over exits on the interstate. Another find from Tucumcari, New Mexico.

The place was locked and boarded up with these streamers roping it off. Possibly for renovation work, but I'm not sure. We got chased off after about 5 minutes of taking pics.

We stayed in a motel in Phoenix once and we all got strep throat. It was so cold in there. I remember to this day. And I was only 4. This is terrific. Straight out of the 60's.

Was it just painted or is that police tape circling the motel? Just wondering what went on at the Blue Swallow Motel. I also like the "100% Refridgerated Air" sign. That's classic.
