I was lucky to have an upper torso of a mannequin. So I put a hoodie on him and placed the jack o lantern, as his head. Holes were cut by the elbows, letting me sneak my hands into the shot. I had to stay very low, as to not be in the shot. The long exposure gave some blur and the flash trapped the scene. Two speedlights were used. One off camera with a flash umbrella. The other on camera, bounced off the ceiling. An incandescent light bulb was left on in the room. This is how the hand blur was created. Camera was on a tripod with an interval timer. The background was created with all lights off. Using the same scene, I streaked my lighter and an LED light behind the mannequin. Then the scenes were combined in photomatix. Hope every one gets a laugh out of it! Oh and funny enough, the artist is DJ Hell...
