I think the desat works because you paralleled the dof with the color selection. I really like this.

I think that all of your desaturated photos work perfectly. This one is a beautiful scene which would probably look too busy with all the color in it. This way it's just us and the flowers.
I need to go back to the tutorials on how to do this :). |

| I'm not always a fan of the single saturation but this really works. I love that the flowers are observers of the distant city. |
