Took this at night before heading to the airport for a flight to Singapore. I like it. Not sure everyone will though. Predict 6.0104

You can't blame some people for thinking this. Presumably they thought the photograph was about the building, while you knew that it was about the meaning of the building. You won, of course.

I voted in this challenge but forgot to comment later. This was my top pick.
The memorial rising above a great gulf of darkness was a perfect tribute to our ANZACs and I looked at it for a very long time. Thoughts turned to the most beautiful tribute to the original ANZACs, by Mustafa Kemal:

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives...
You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country.
Therefore rest in peace.
There is no difference between the Johnnies and Mehmets to us
where they lie side by side here in this country of ours.
You, the mothers, who sent their sons from faraway countries wipe away your tears;
Your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace.
After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.
- Kemal Atatürk

Thank you Enzo, for a beautiful and moving photograph.

A warm, but mysterious, scene. I enjoyed it.

Interesting use of negative space - I would've probably cropped it as much as I could to take the stairs out, but I'm surprised to see that this composition actually is pretty good - probably because of the gentle curve at the top naturally pointing to the monument - which looks awesome in that light. My top 10.

Great colors in this photo. I don't really care for the amount of negative space at the bottom.

I like the perspective an tone of the upper part but the lower part of the picture is really dark, on my monitor

Interesting........usually called the Shrine of Remembrance though, and never really heard anyone call it the ANZAC Shrine.............
The steps though are a bit dark though, and the curve annoys me, but the lighting on the Shrine is great. I would have had less steps and more shrine, less dark area and more of the subject, but this composition may have worked if there was a little more detail in the steps.......

Good composition idea, would like more of the building included if it was possible because the foreground is a little heavy
