 Shot in RAW, converted using IrfanView. Adjusted curves and adjusted brightness/contrast. Resize.

Took many shots, some B/W, some color. I chose the color because it looked more metallic. I liked the B/W shots more, but just didn't look metallic enough.
I had this shot in my mind when I saw the challenge announced. I found a piece of channel iron at my employers office, used solder for the splatters..(solder is most commonly used for sealing copper piping). I wanted the splatter to look like weld splatter, which I think it did. I added the wrench in later to give the photo a little more subject.
I had to search hard to find a "Made in USA" stamped on the iron...ruined a white shirt and did drop this 100 pound piece of iron on my big toe, but no damage done, except people walking by on the sidewalk heard some profanity.

Well, at least I finished ahead of the Yellow Chair! I thought this would do better, but to some, it may be a little obscure. Thanks for the comments, and yes, this is all natural colors, and with a piece of raw iron such as this, and the wrench, there is and will be some blue tints to it. The solder splatter comes across as chrome. I did use a flash bounced off of a gold reflector. OH...and thanks for the comments.

I gave you the only 9 - I thought this was very creative, artistic, and made me think of an american flag. : )

i like ur idea here and see where you were going with it, i think a bit more light would have made this more then what it is,
