This is a plant that produces pods, which have a dry shell and seeds inside. We passed by and they looked fantastic towards the setting sun. Edit: cropped a bit, cloned a small twig, selective dodgeing and sharpening on the pod to enhance the vein structure, adamus sharpening resize, sfw.

Wonderful. I like the warm tones but have to wonder how it might have looked in black and white.

Just marvelous. Although I'm guessing peas and not chrysalis... I am usually a big fan of negative space, but in this case it seems distracting. A squarer crop seems more appropriate to me, and also a bit more breathing room beneath the sun and to the right of the twig. Obviously not possible if shot this way :-)
