Challenge: Negative Image III (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-5D Mark II
Lens: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4.0L IS
Location: Utica, New York, USA
Date: Sep 25, 2010
Aperture: f/9
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/200
Galleries: Abstract, Photo-Impressionism
Date Uploaded: Sep 28, 2010

Everything in this scene except for the lawn area was in a shade of gray (or white or black) with no color information. So after I inverted the image I pushed the "hue" slider in the hue/saturation adjustment dialog all the way to the end to bring the grass back to green. No mask or spot editing was used. Because the rest of the image had no color the hue adjustment had no effect on it.

I'm assuming a bit of channel swapping here... Nice touch to make it feel more real but looks like some details are lost in the smaller trees

Really like the moody colours of this - Wish the trees were a tad sharper and the building sloping off to the left.

I think this worked out nicely. Great idea here.
