Just a shot of my husbands old ropin' saddle. Hardly used anymore. Got it out, knocked the dust off and threw it over some logs hoping it might look like it had been thrown over the top of a fence. The dog in the background seems to have caused some confussion for some of the voters, but he is actually what inspired the title....since the dog is looking behind him it's as if the horse has been caught and he and the cowboy are walking toward the saddle....both the dog and the saddle are waiting for the horse and rider.
Then of course there are the wine gourd comments which got me laughing.
This photo is doing better than I expected which had me confused as it is doing better than my free study which I though would knock this in the dirt.
But on DPC you can never tell....

Love the b/w, might have tried to angle the saddle a little more to show them city slickers what it was. Wine gourds, indeed! ;-) Good work, keep it up!

VERY underappreciated country abstract. Love this image.

This is nice. Right hand quarter confuses me a bit but that's OK with me.

At first I thought this was a gourd of some sort and couldn't figure out how that was "country". Then I thought maybe some OTHER country. Then I finally figured out that it was the horn of a saddle. Beautiful saddle abstract, although the blurred elements behind it - especially the one on the far right - are a bit distracting, even if they add depth.

What are those? Leather wine gourds? Very nice dof and lighting.

Choosing to make this shot black and white was a great idea. I immediately found this shot interesting because of the contrast, even before I realized what the object was.
