 I saw this spot and thought it had that fairy tale feel to it. I took several shots that were reasonably nice but nothing special. When I was about to leave a family of ducks made their way to the water. I still didn't get the shot I wanted and I know this is really a shoe horn entry but I liked it and I'm not entering for votes lately. I know this will be another entry that will hurt my average but they are just numbers.

Besides the shoe horn low votes I'm sure many will not like the soft effect. The original image is sharper than this but I found the reeds on the water created too much of a distracting noise effect that took away the little bit of majic I wanted. I'm predicting low 4's and if there are many clever and well shot images then I may even get my first 3.xxxx shot. Perhaps I should pull this... nah, I'm too curious as to how this will be received.

I like this one quite a bit. The light is beautiful, and the foreground and background make it seem quite a secluded place.

The lighting here is so magnificent, as is the pastoral setting. But that's mostly what I see here, a pastoral setting. The ducks are a gorgeous element in it, but they are not the subject. Even just cropping it a bit tighter would have given them more prominence in the image.
