 For my college course (City & Guilds Level 3 Photography) we had to do a fashion model shoot, our group of 3 had a theme of Rags to Riches. I got permission to use the grounds and building of a local arts center which is based in a Mansion House. This shot was shot in the cellar, which they have turned in to a bar.

I used 2 speedlights on pocket wizards, one with a purple gel and one with an orange gel, set the white balance to 3300K on the camera so that was correct.

I'll add a few more from that I took from the shoot over the next few days. We got a distinction plus for our efforts so very pleased :)

almost kind of sad and scary in a way. like a girl who got lost on her way to the local corner store. she's too pretty to look ragged :)

Well, she doesn't scare me a bit. But of course I'm across the pond. Great shot. Proper lighting sounds complicated!

Beautiful girl and certainly a freaky, scary image. I'd always go play with her eyes a bit in pp to make them pop, but that's a personal preference.

Very nicely done .... Not sure if the shadow rising out of her head adds or detracts ... I'm leaning toward adds it gives a sense of realism .... but i think I'm being over analytical of what is fudamentally an excellent image in content compsition and colour

I like this a lot. The light looks like it's coming from a neon light upstairs and reflects beautifully on her face.
