the usual :-) loads of curves photoforge, focus etc tiltshiftgen.

I love the colours but I'd love even more to have seen what some of you guys would have done with better composition ... composition isn't my forte if fear :-(

Looks fine to me. Great colors, and and intriguing spiral line of sight.

I think you did a nice job here. Don't know if motion would have shown, but might have been cool to snap while one of the beads was sliding down? Tiltshiftgen is a fun app to play with.

Oh, this IS cool. Not sure I would change it, but if pressed to experiment on it, I would try cropping up from the bottom so that the green bit at the right bleeds off into the lower right corner. Cropping down into the upper green ring might be worth a look. I dunno how it would look in b/w, but it might be a bit more of a mystery what it is in mono. But like I said at the outset, don't think I would change it in any case.

I'll give it a whirl on my way back home (this is a toy in the Railway waiting room) ... can only take the photo if there are no rail personnel about - they get a bit icky about photographers.
